Kiwanis Club of Canby – President (3 Terms), Administrative Board, Foundation Board, Program Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator

Coordinating all areas of a non-profit civic organization including meeting agendas, working as a team, applying for grants, being a good steward of foundation funds. Working with 70 members to create committees. Being the face of the organization in the community and building community partnerships.

  • Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Working with families to ensure they receive the Dolly Parton Imagination Library books each month.

Coordinating events to celebrate literacy for children and maintained the database of over 800 children monthly.

  • Kiddie Capers Parade Coordinator

Working with a team coordinating a kids parade that reaches 100+ children. Creating marketing and social media, as well as all day of functions. Two years I coordinated the Grand Marshall search, which included voting from the community and creating an awards ceremony.

  • Canby Kiwanis Earth Day Event Coordinator

Utilizing safety procedures during COVID created a drive thru Earth Day event for children in Canby. This continues and has grown with each new President of the Kiwanis Club of Canby.

  • Kiwanis Canby Community Food and Toy Drive

All aspects of coordinating the annual food and toy drive that reaches 496 families and 1000 children in our community. Working with businesses and the community for funding and procuring donations. Successfully applying for grants and marketing on social media and print.

Twice weekly social media postings to encourage families to attend. Created bi-lingual language to ensure the opportunity was available to our entire community.

  • Kiwanis Birthday Bag Project

Cultivated a connection with the Canby Center to provide Birthday supplies for any community member to receive. Continue to support the efforts with a yearly social media drive for supplies.

Canby Music Boosters President/Secretary

Coordinating fundraising and delegation of those funds to ensure all the band programs in the Canby School District thrive. Lead coordinator of the annual Winter Showcase fundraising concert and raffle. Increased funding through this program my first year by including business sponsorship and selling advanced seating.
