I currently oversee advertising contracts and programming for all SWAY clients. In addition, I serve as lead and facilitate all marketing and public relations activities for the following key accounts: Ala Moana Center, Commit to Keiki, Hawaii Energy, Hawaii State Federal Credit, James Campbell Company, and Zephyr Insurance. Below are some of the ongoing duties that I manage on a daily basis:

My primary responsibility was to manage the communications and community outreach activities to keep stakeholders and key constituents aware of agency initiatives, marketing plans and programs, as well as educate the public on issues related to the visitor industry. Below were some of the ongoing duties and projects that I oversaw:
Daily management of HTA’s contracted public relations agency;
Distribution of news releases, media statements and monthly newsletters;
HTA staff preparation for media interviews and speaking engagements;
Collateral, fact sheets, and advertisements;
Global social media strategies;
HTA website management with oversight of the gohawaii.com consumer websites;
Management and facilitation of global marketing campaigns;
Crisis communications; and
During the annual legislative session, 70% of my time was dedicated to tracking bills, drafting testimony, and attending hearings on behalf of the HTA.
Other:
From June 2011 – November 2012, I oversaw the marketing of the six major Hawaiian Islands for the North America market. I managed the Hawai‘i Visitors & Convention Bureau who is contracted by the HTA to facilitate the Annual Tourism Marketing Plan for the leisure segment. The major marketing channels that I managed were public relations, advertising (print and web), and travel trade;
From June 2011 – November 2012, I oversaw the development of Meet Hawaii, which is the Meetings, Conventions & Incentives umbrella for the North America, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) markets; and
Oversaw the implementation of various major festivals for the state of Hawai‘i such as the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival and Mele Mei (May Music Month).

Worked directly with the regional team and 11 hotel sales and marketing teams to initiate and develop promotions that led to new or increased revenue growth. I tracked the success of advertising placements in coordination with integrated online, partnership marketing, and public relations efforts. I managed the coordination and implementation of multi-million dollar marketing campaigns for all of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawai‘i to position and promote the image, brand consistency, special offers and promotions via national and local channels. I was the direct liaison to MVNP, advertising agency, and managed the planning, development and direction of all traditional advertising (newspaper, magazine, radio, TV), photography, and promotions in support of the overall marketing plan. I assisted the director with managing all promotional elements in conjunction with sponsorship events and promotions (i.e. Hawai‘i Bowl and Hawai‘i International Film Festival). I also managed the multi-million-dollar Regional Advertising Budget by monitoring the activity relating to hotel specific and regional advertising projects.
