  • I have many responsibilities at Smithfield Fresh Meats Corp. One of the responsibilities is to monitor the harvest floor critical control point (CCP). I do this monitoring the harvest floor CCP once per hour, every hour, daily. I document all my findings on the HACCP record sheet. Another one of my responsibilities is to monitor the establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). I do this three times daily and document my findings on the SSOP recording form. I am also responsible for monitoring the establishment's good manufacturing practices. I do this multiple times per shift and record the findings on the GMP recording sheet. Another responsibility I have is to help separate different classes of swine. I do this by identifying the end of one run and the start of another. I do this by placing different tags in the line where appropriate. Whether it be market swine, NFBA, or GHP. My supervisors rely on my keen attention to detail and my ability to think critically in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.

  • On January 2020 I received my Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) training and certificate I have been trained and certified by the company in humane handling I have on many occasions worked in the barn driving animals to the stunning point I have also been chemical trained My responsibilities under this program are to monitor and test concentration levels of all chemicals used in the establishment Some of the chemicals I've been trained to work with are Acetic Acid, PAA, and chlorine Which i monitor, test and work with daily I also am floor dog trained I am part of the safety and ergonomics team also The ability to send and receive information To influence and guide others Problem solving skills Active listening skills
