Full -scope nurse midwifery care provided in clinic/local hospital as part of a group practice. Attended births at local, community hospital. Provided culturally sensitive, holistic care to a ethnically diverse population from several different countries. Collaborative practice with obstetrical consultation for cases which deviated from normal. Taught and pre-cepted local high school, nursing and midwife students completing their courses of study.

Provided full -scope, sensitive and holistic midwifery care to diverse population of women. Services included ante-partum, intra-partum and postpartum care. Contraceptive counseling, menopausal counseling and STD testing/treatment also provided. Approximately 10 births per month at local hospital, average of 20 clients per day seen in office. Practicum involved working in a busy tertiary care center, serving mostly indigent women from Mexico.
