Angela Mendez-Ramirez

I'm considered a board member for Key Club D19 South. What this organization consists of is attending to rally's and competing with other divisions to funraise for PTP (Pediatric Trauma Program). I'm in charge of recording the events we've been too and create articles of details of that event. The board and myself have helped saved up for PTP by organizing small funraisers my selling baked goods or grams at places such as PIXELS and at my school (POLAHS). We occasionally go to places around LA to go meet up with other schools and challenge each other by yelling and performing chants. My experience in Key Club has helped me learn:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Participated in team projects, demonstrating an ability to work collaboratively and effectively.
• Gained extensive knowledge in data entry, analysis and reporting.
• Assisted with day-to-day operations, working efficiently and productively with all team members.
• Developed strong communication and organizational skills through working on group projects.

During my time volunteer for this church, I was able to be the camera operator and able to make videos for when they would sing songs during Sunday and Thursday. Being able to volunteer made me enhanced my social skills and build a sense of community for those around me. I would occasionally go help set up events or gatherings on Thursdays and Sundays. I would be there to help out for about 7 hours a week. What my experience overall provided me was:

• Strengthening my communication skills through regular interactions with others.
• Making me skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Working effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Paid attention to detail when completing assignments.
• Developing strong organizational and communication skills through coursework and volunteer activities.
• Participated in religious ceremonies and events.
• Coordinated with other volunteers to create a welcoming environment at worship services and special events.

During my Internship, I had to be able to maintain the plants and being able to help them grow efficiently. I would constantly help with setting up the farmers market and help bring the produce back when done, we had to keep record of what was being brought and sold weekly. Along with that, I was able to learn to:

• Cultivated positive relationships with vendors to deliver timely and cost-effective supply of services and materials.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
• Adaptable and proficient in learning new concepts quickly and efficiently.
• Assisted with day-to-day operations, working efficiently and productively with all team members.
• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
