I began my career at Trinity Mother Frances working as a nurse extern for a year before I graduated with my BSN from UT Tyler in 2011. I got on my feet as an RN on the 4 Dawson- medical/surgical unit for 2 years before I transferred to the Women's Center at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. I was a charge nurse and preceptor on the post partum unit and regularly worked postpartum, NICU, Pediatrics & Labor and Delivery. My in patient hospital experience provided invaluable nursing skills. I transitioned into a school nursing role last year to better suit my family-work-life balance and I love it. I look forward to new opportunities in my community to continue to use my nursing knowledge and skills for personal growth and to help students remain happy, healthy and ready to learn.
