Supported critical care unit operations across various ICUs as needed, with the majority of my focus in the cardiac intensive care. Received and maintained up-to-date training for managing patients with intra-aortic balloon pumps, those undergoing post-cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols, patients on continuous renal replacement therapy, and individuals with ventricular assist devices. Performed charge nurse duties, contributing to unit management and workflow by conducting safety checks and coordinating with other departments such as bed control.

Acted as charge nurse, assigning and transferring acutely ill patients into our critical care 11-bed unit. Managed care of patients with advanced and complex illnesses. Floated throughout the various critical care departments which included the medical ICU, surgical ICU, and cardiothoracic ICU.

Responded to emergencies that happened outside of the critical care departments as part of the code team in accordance with ACLS guidelines.
