As Manager of Enterprise Applications I am responsible for ensuring that our teams provide streamlined systems that are supported and maintained efficiently and effectively.

System and Process Improvements

• Collaborate with upper management both within IT and across the business to drive strategy and implement new processes.

• Deliver application services and support to business within SLA across EBS, OTM and OASIS

• Review incident reports to determine root cause and find permanent solutions.
• Oversee and ensure all controls are in place across our applications to ensure a clean IT audit and integrity of our systems and processes.

System Implementation and Strategy Alignment

• Contribute to successful system implementations through diligent planning and execution.
• Ensure our IT systems strategy aligns with our business strategy by planning each quarter with the teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Define the objectives and key results for each quarter for the ERP applications.
• Conduct gap analyses when analyzing current systems and functionality for new business requirements to determine improvements or changes required to ensure scalability and capability to meet those demands.

• Provided application systems support for end users, addressing concerns and troubleshooting complex problems.

Projects

• Upgrade from R11.5.10 to R12.13 and did the upgrade and configuration for the supply chain modules including worfflow and alerts.

• Configured Purchasing and Workflow to implement the emailing of signed purchase documents directly to suppliers.

• Re-organized and configured the Inventory Module for the KZN region which comprised about 50 laboratories.

Managed the Sales and Stores for the Diagnostic Media Products department at the NHLS.

We manufactured and sold laboratory media and reagent products to the approximately 200 NHLS laboratories country wide and to some private laboratories around Gauteng.

Key responsibilities included;

• Managing the sales and stores staff;
• Managing the Oracle system used for processing of orders and management of inventory;
• Customer service and product related queries resolution;
• Research and development of new products.

During my years as a medical technologist, I worked in various laboratories within the NHLS including Microbiology, Infection Control and Public Health ranging from Hillbrow, Johanessburg General Hospital and Wits Medical School.

I progressed from being a Med. Tech to Senior Med. Tech to Section Supervisor.

Key responsibilities included performing microbiological and molecular biology on human and food specimens to assist in diagnosis, research and development.

Noteworthy achievements include;

A publication in the International Journal of Food Microbiology for a paper entitled "Contamination of chicken carcasses in Gauteng, South Africa, by Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes and Campylobacter

Presented at the Fifth International Meeting on Bacterial Epidemiological Markers in the Netherlands,
