  • I serve as the Medical Staff Coordinator for Byrd Regional Hospital, with the following duties:
  • On a daily basis, I assist the Chief of Quality Management in developing goals necessary to accomplish the mission of credentialing and privileging for the facility. I perform on a daily basis, the duty to keep the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Governing Board and Medical Staff informed of changes, new regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures pertaining to the credentialing and privileging process. I complete on a daily basis the physician and Allied Health Professionals verifications and ensure that the organization and staff are in accordance with staff bylaws, industry trends and standard credentialing procedures. I ensure that all licensure and certifications as well as competency are up to date and am responsible for reporting to the Executive committees on all physician and Allied Health Professionals credentials.
  • Recorded and transcribed minutes for Credentials, MEC, Medical Staff, and Board of Trustee meetings.

Contract Administrator Duties

  • Summary: This person will be responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, amending and otherwise processing contracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods or services such as equipment, materials, supplies, or products, professional services and leasing arrangements, utilizing Ariba Contract Management Professional.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain detailed and organized audit file for each contract which includes original contract, all correspondence, amendments and Corporate required documents.
  • Manage contracts within the Meditract Contract Management System.
  • Effectively track approvals and correspondence.

Community Health Systems. I enter a facility and evaluate the backlog, and current issues. Review expirations, credentialing filesand put a plan of action together and help the current MSC to become current. Evaluate the Bylaws, Policies and R/R's to insure that they are in compliance with Joint Commission, current state and CMS standards.
