Oversees WV Medicaid, PEIA, WVCHIPs and Gainwell Pharmacy Helpdesk pharmacy point of sale prior authorization programs and prospective drug utilization review programs.
Develops and oversees new innovative programming to promote enhanced patient care and expand the business scope of RDTP.
Prepares program reports for vendors, offices of the insurance commissioner, bureau for public health, office of the inspector general, and more. Analyzes reports internally to evaluate the program’s effectiveness and budgetary needs.
Presents program reports, at least quarterly to the Drug Utilization Review Board of the WV Bureau for Medical Services.
Provides managerial oversight and review of all programs designated as belonging to or under the responsibility of the Rational Drug Therapy Program including service based contractual work as well as grant based programs.
Oversees RDTP's IT team.
Creates and develops yearly budget for each of the contractual programs associated with the RDTP program. (over 6.5 million annually in 2024)
Assures that contractual obligations are met: establishes office policies for management of contracted responsibilities, evaluates annually and revises as indicated. Assists with fiscal management. Approves expenditures and assures budget deadlines are met.
Review requested home antibiotic/chemo IV therapy regimens for clinical rational/appropriateness for use.
Preceptor for APPE rotational students for WVU School of Pharmacy (WVU SOP)
3 contact hours of classroom teaching with WVU SOP
Faculty Evaluation Committee service to the WVU SOP
