Summary

Skilled tenured instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching math in an active learning setting. Strong history of breaking down complex concepts to help students understand how to think critically and problem solve in a variety of applied situations. In addition to the text, I use use self-created materials and group projects to increase student engagement and success in class. I delight in seeing students gain understanding and confidence, and I also delight in their successes. One of my main goals is to help students form connections between math and the world around them, so that they can apply it to everyday life.
