I am the first line of supervision for the unit and serve on institutional committees, interview board, duty officer, scheduling/training of all assigned staff to the unit. Performance evaluations on Beacon for self and subordinate staff. Decision making for the unit in reference to the library, canteen, unit clothes house, and ordering of the supplies needed for the unit. Ensuring safety, security, and cleanliness of the unit. I am also a PREA investigator, OSI Investigator, and General instructor. I teach New Employee Orientation, Unlawful Workplace Harassment, PREA, MH-Hope, Wellness, Occupational Exposure, etc. Ensure time frames and duties are carried out for disciplinary reports and administrative grievances. Oversee visitation applications, town hall meetings, daily unit activities, etc. Ensure monthly activity reports are compiled in a timely manner. Ensure Inmate's with jobs are properly credited for the work that they do and that they are trained and sign off on their JPAS paperwork. Evaluate progression of staff. I have experience using the ESS for myself as well as assisting unit staff on using their own. I monitor VIP for all staff and supervisors under me through BEACON and LMS.
