As a Quality Control Technician, I conduct quality inspections at different stages of the debone operation process. I am responsible for conducting temperature test throughout the establishment. The establishments critical control procedures state the product will be below 45 degrees during production. I have had to collaborate with the production team to address the issue of product being over 45 degrees by tagging the product and ensuring the establishment implements the corrective actions for the failure. This would entail documenting the reported failure and ensure corrective measures were implemented and documented. Responsible for Inspecting all incoming raw materials for quality and freshness. I have at times rejected loads of poultry due to insanitary conditions on the truck or temperatures above the establishments written procedure as stated in the HACCP plan. I am very accurate at keeping all records of all quality control activates I perform. Thus ensuring easy retrieval for audits or management inquires.
I volunteer to come in to work hour early every day to perform pre-operational sanitation inspection of all equipment used in production. I on occasion have had to reject the piece of equipment and notify the establishment to re-clean the equipment and re-sanitize before I would release the equipment for production. I am proficient at documenting all corrective actions for establish management and USDA review.
The job requirement is to wear a radio at all times to interact with different truck drivers that come in to drop off loads and pick up loads of poultry. This has required to be more diverse in the job by learning to work with different truck drivers with diverse backgrounds. Being a senior QA technician for this company on numerous occasions have been asked to train newly employed
QA-Technicians. This could be training on how to test the chemicals used in the plant or how to take temperatures on the product or just performing quality control task throughout the establishment. While performing sampling procedures such as salmonella testing on poultry parts for the establishment I have worked beside the in-plant USDA in verification to meet agency standards for testing. I am considered very valuable employee for this company due to working multiple times on Saturdays without supervision and very seldom call in sick or miss work without prior arrangements with supervision.
I worked this job as a part time employee and was self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility. I sorted Mail, including packages, according to delivery sequence and load sacks and boxes filled with mail onto and off my mail trucks.
