I was there at Costco for 13 years. I was the Media Stocker for most of my time there. I stocked DVDs, CDs, and books. I was also in charge of pulling merchandise off the floor when needed. I did that area by myself for several years. I was able to finish my department in a timely manner before opening.
I also helped in other areas of the store. I helped in the front with the cashiers. I helped in other areas of merchandising, including clothing, food, hardlines, and domestics, since I was previously in those departments.
During the 13 years, I did inventory when asked. I worked full time during my time. I was a very hard worker, and I was always on time. I was given an award for my work during that time. I worked the early morning shift from 2:30 in the morning until they changed it.
My first job at the White Plains Cleaners was in an office building with three floors. I did the basic cleaning of vacuuming, dusting, taking out the trash, as well as cleaning the bathrooms.
I did everything when the building was closed and on the weekends. I was by myself, doing it all.
They trusted me with opening and closing the building. The building had offices, a kitchen, and elevators.
I was not there for a long time since it was a drive. I lived in New Rochelle, and the job was located in White Plains. I worked part-time, and had a good time. I was not happy that I did not live closer.
