- Devised special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on individual student needs, interests, and abilities
- Monitored assigned work, corrected papers, and supervised curriculum-based testing and makeup work as directed by certified staff.
- Serves as a reliable and knowledgeable resource for substitute teachers when regular certified staff are unavailable.
- Performed clerical and classroom maintenance duties assigned by certified staff
- Alerts the certified staff to any problem or specific information about an individual student
- Provided monitoring and guidance for students during lunch breaks, play breaks, and outings
- Performs assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, toileting, and clothing routines
- When requested, serve as a resource person to the General Education Team and/or IEP / Title 1 / ESL Team(s)
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community
- Participates in in-service training programs as approved
- Maintains a safe working environment and encourages colleagues to be safety-minded in performing all school-related duties
