I am currently a freshman on the Harvard Women's Ice Hockey team. Being a student-athlete at a highly competitive university has allowed me to develop time management skills, along with the ability to work with a team to solve problems and work through conflicts.
I served as a monitor of my boarding school from the start of my junior year through my senior year. Monitors are upperclassman who want to pursue leadership position which require an application and interview process. I served as a monitor for lower classman girls. I lived in the lowerclassman dorm and ran weekly gatherings with all the girls which usually consisted of food and fun bonding activities. It was a great opportunity to develop relationships with the younger girls and help support them throughout their high school experiences.
Engaged in community outreach to aid program mission centered on community support and enrichment. We worked with kids in underprivileged communities to help educate them with creative and engaging activities. This included creating bridges out of popsicle sticks or conducting different science experiment's. This gave me the opportunity to come up with new activities each week for the kids, that were both fun and engaging.
