The Senior Investigator position is a full time position involving training new employees and evaluating their work. The Senior Investigator will conduct inspections and investigations of homestead exemption and related Florida exemption fraud. Work includes significant contact with the public, field inspections and computer skills. Additionally, the Senior Fraud Investigator may be assigned internal investigations, which include subcontractor's, personnel investigations, thefts and losses. The Senior Investigator is responsible for training, evaluating work and enforcing accountability measures. This position may also require to assist DPSC Management as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
. Communicates effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing the statutes and requirements if the homestead exemption and related Florida exemptions.
. Assist in answering general taxpayers call providing effective resolution to inquiries and issues.
. Conduct research in the field through on site interviews with taxpayers and related parties.
. Conduct research within the office through telephone interviews and computer based research.
. Make determination of eligibility of exemptions and corresponding back taxes within authority limits.
, Meets with taxpayers and representatives in response to investigation and or removal of exemption.
. Prepares and presents defense of removal of exemptions a Value Adjustment Board (VAB) hearings and in litigation.
. Preparing schedules, checking reports and preparing administrative reports.

Full time position involving performing administrative duties to the Department Director. Work involved performing various administrative and office management functions. Work for the Director and is responsible for answering screening phone calls, and directing calls to the appropriate person. Prepares and types correspondence, memoranda, documents, reports, e-mails and other material for the Director while observing strict confidentiality and is the confidentiality coordinator for BCPA.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
. Working under general supervision to complete administrative tasks within the department including answering telephone calls and emails, preparing and typing all of documents within the department.
. Communicates effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, the statutes and requirements of the confidential listing program.
. Assist in answering general taxpayers call providing effective resolution to inquiries and issues.
. Assist Manager and Supervisor of the department.
. Preparing and maintaining the Time Force payroll system for the department. Preparing the weekly time report for the department.
. Opening cases and reviewing lists of properties to determine if the exemption is in place.
. Process confidential listings.
. Serves as trainer to the administrative clerks.
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office applications, (Work, Excel, Outlook)
