I started with DaVita as a Guest Teammate in November 2024 with my primary focus being to learn the role and assist in the quick and efficient implementation of Phosphate binders. I have established a permanent teammate position by march of 2025 (4 months ahead of the end of my probation period of 6 months). I have never worked in insurance prior to this role and am currently flourishing. My current role includes requesting authorization from payers, to input approvals/denials into the system, ensure payment, confirm payer requirements and communicate efficiently across departments to provide the best care for our patients. I excel in time management allowing me to meet productivity daily. I have maintained essential core qualities such as Integrity, service excellence and continuous improvement. My attention to detail, critical thinking and problem resolution has allowed me to gain adequate product knowledge. Because I see a lasting career with DaVita I am determined to find fulfillment within the village by utilizing core values such as team and fun. I believe exploring our village and networking amongst my fellow teammates will provide me with this opportunity.
Within 7 months I obtained all required documentation, licenses and 30 star hours ahead of the required due date. I originally sought out this position because i have prior experience in a child care center and after working remote since my daughter was born i could not see myself leaving her side. I was routinely acknowledged by parents, staff and leadership for my exceptional care of the children and our classroom. I built a respectable and trustworthy relationship with all. I keep an hourly attendance. I keep a clean classroom at all times even with 7 -10 toddlers running around. I was able to keep children engaged, safe and on schedule. While maintaining a solid daily routine I received the opportunity to see my class flourish with meeting/exceeding development, follow directions and complete transitions (i.e. free play to circle time). All of my original students (2yr of age) that have moved up so far are speaking in clear, short sentences and using the potty. I rise to the challenge when approached for new opportunities. This last month i had 4 new students start within week apart and all have made themselves right at home within 2 weeks. I am consistently within WAC compliance and always open to learning how to be better at my job. I am continuously learning in this role and that is my most favorite part. I have used software programs like brightwheel, my teaching strategies(TSG) and more. This experience has been amazing in helping my daughter and i transition from being together at all times while still allowing me the opportunity to feel like i am a part of her important milestones. I believe this experience has given me the reset i needed to be my best in any position i choose to take on as a career as I’ve mastered multi-tasking.
I worked on the corporate end of Trueblue Inc remotely for 2 consecutive years.
During this time I helped get people to work, grew revenue nation wide, communicated effectively to the field, took charge in sales campaigns, generated/distributed daily excel reports both internally and externally. I provided direct support to project managers and team by performing general administration duties. I managed multiple calendars, orders, schedules and emails. I led powerpoint presentations via Zoom and Microsoft Teams. I created and setup all new accounts we generated while also managing a major account where I proactively reach out with any updates or concerns and relayed requirements effectively to all parties. I was responsible for confirming and inputting all information in the the system using software such as prism, fieldglass, Cognos, PBI, Prism, Jobstack, Salesforce, etc. I implemented my intermediate knowledge of Microsoft software and quickly got efficient with many other programs such as excel and powerpoint.
With AirCare I was responsible for all incoming phone calls, emails and if needed, transferred the caller to the appropriate department. I kept the company books by documenting and filing away each check, expense report and invoice we received via mail, email and fax. I was responsible for tedious task around the office such as tracking inventory, filing, packaging company merchandise, printing out the daily flight itineraries and confirming all flight staff were appropriately certified.
During covid I was the primary point of contact during in-air healthcare emergencies for private airlines. I was responsible for directing the flight attendants to fast and adequate care anywhere in the world. Rerouting in a timely manner the private aircrafts to the closest medical care facility, booking hotel reservations, providing local safety, attraction and currency information. I also generated a daily email blast of current events happening worldwide keeping our clients informed and safe during their travels. I practiced my best conflict resolution techniques during this time as I was required to respond quickly and efficiently in high stress situations.
Working with McGee offered me the opportunity to prove my exceptional organizational skills I was responsible for the safety of myself and my crew regarding hands on commercial aircraft inspections, takeoff/landing assistance, baggage care and transportation, I showed great attention to detail and time management ability while on-site. However, due to not having proper transportation at the time and having to rely on public transportation I was unable to excel in meeting requirements of my 6month probation period.
I communicated openly and effectively, the results of each day, to parents and guardians of children between the ages of newborn to 5 years of age. I was responsible for helping the toddlers create a potty routine and transition to underwear. I kept my classroom wac/state approved, created a well balanced curriculum and kept daily attendance throughout the day. While providing a safe and fun environment I lead by example, organized goals to be met and exceeded expectations every time.
For three consecutive years. I was responsible for the safety, daily hygiene and overall care of my developmentally disabled client(s). I accompanied clients to appointments, grocery stores, their banks and other outings necessary to assure they received adequate care . I confirmed procedures were followed by submitting complete and true documentation at the end of every shift of duties performed, client questions/concerns, medication doses that were taken/refused, etc. I obtained necessary certificates/licenses to provide exceptional care and show continuous improvement over time.(i.e. RNA license, first aid, CPR and bloodborne pathogens certification). I quickly elevated in my role from DSP to Manager taking on additional responsibility of creating and maintaining schedules of 20+ employees. Managed 2-3 houses at a time with 1-2 people per shifts 7-3, 3-11, 11-7. With a high turn over rate came a lot of uncertainty and i was proactive by preventing staff shortages as much as possible by reaching out in advance for back-up options should the need arise. However, there were times i would have to cover multiple 16 hour days showing team values such as integrity and reliability during times of need and providing exceptional care to our clients in their time of need.
