As an IT Developer for Wright County, my team manages several platforms to meet our various Departments business needs. I am a SharePoint Administrator. I helped to migrate our SharePoint environment to SharePoint Online in 2022. We manage a Site collection for each of our 17 Departments as well as various Committees and the County Board. I create/implement business solutions using the M365 Power Platform- Power Apps for forms and applications. Power Automate for workflows and automated business processes. Microsoft Forms for simple public facing forms. Microsoft Teams and configuring Teams Channels with the appropriate applications when needed. As well as creating/managing our SharePoint Intranet for the entire county. I am also a certified Hyland OnBase administrator. I am certified in System Administration, advanced Workflow configuration, and WorkView applications for the Hyland environment. I manage our Public website through CivicPlus. Our team also handles various Software upgrades for our many departments. We create and manage our IIS websites and create custom Web applications. We manage our SSL Certificates and renewals. My team provides scripting support when necessary to implement new vendor applications into our existing environment when needed (for example, we just switched our HR/Payroll system to Oracle, which required custom scripting for configuring the API’s and connections into various systems to pull and send data). We work with our Project Administration team on a regular basis to develop solutions for our departments. Much of my work involves meeting with Department heads and listening to their work process that is in need of improvement, or developing a solution for a new process. After learning about the business need, I will recommend which platform is most suitable to address those needs and then the Project Administration teams works with my team to develop a timeline and goals to deliver a product to be tested and continually developed until our Department finds the solution is ready to be used in their Production environment. After modifying/developing these solutions, our Teams continually supports upgrades and changes when needed. Unlike many developers, we are involved heavily with our clients (County employees) and provide excellent customer service and communication to keep our Departments happy and help keep their operations running optimally.
Our Development team performs work designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining web/client/server systems and enterprise platforms (such as Microsoft SharePoint and Hyland OnBase); performing database administration activities; and providing support services to the IT Department. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Systems Development Supervisor.
It is our responsibility to ensure the systems we manage meet established security guidelines and compliance requirements.
Document program design and structure, program development steps, testing conducted, and program changes made; creating end-user testing procedures, system descriptions, and operational instructions.
Troubleshoots and maintains .NET applications and various scripts; develops and deploys system usage reports; reviews, analyzes, recommends, and deploys approved utilities and procedures; assists end-users with the use of database access tools and management procedures;performs data and systems recovery tasks.
Administers web servers; serves as a County Webmaster; assists other departments with using Civic Plus modules.
Provides technical and analytical support for all county employees in their use of any supported information technology to complete their assigned projects and/or duties. Assisting Senior Systems Engineer with O365 Administration and Active Directory reorganization. I serve as System Administrator for VDI, Qmatic, and the Micro-Tel Phone system. Serving as the Sharepoint Administrator to the Health & Wellness site.
Providing IT Support for Wright County employees. Includes general troubleshooting, software/hardware installation, mobile devices, network troubleshooting, printer/peripheral installations, special projects, end-user training on use of software and various systems. Creating/managing users in Active Directory. Imaging and deployment of new computers for budget replacements. Managing assigned tickets.
