Family Advocate

United Advocacy Group - Family Strengthening Network
08.2018 - 01.2019
  • Family Strengthening Network is a non-profit organization that helps families in our local counties. The duties of a family advocate include but not limited to helping families establish financial fitness, housing, career advancement, assistance with child development, educational advocacy, mental health advocacy and relational enrichment. Since working with FSN the families I have recruited to work with have achieved multiple goals. A single mom was able to establish safe housing, employment, and a vehicle. Another family has succeeded in establishing an IEP for their son while dealing with a very difficult school Child Study Team. Another family was able to build healthy boundaries with their mentally ill adult child while helping them find the care they needed. These are just a few of the many positive outcomes from the families I have been blessed to work with. It has been so rewarding to watch families achieve their goals and strengthen their lives.

Program Director

Delanco Camp
07.2017 - 01.2019
  • Delanco is an interdenominational summer Christian camp. I was a program director that planned and facilitated a one-week camp for campers ranging in age from 9 to 13. Duties include but are not limited to prayerfully establishing a theme, recruiting volunteer staff members that are solid in their faith and walk with Christ, promoting the camp in order to recruit campers, establishing and maintaining safety protocols for both staff members and campers, point of contact for parents, oversight of finances, planning curriculum for bible classes and choosing an evangelist for the week that will relate to students in order to introduce and/or strengthen their relationship with Christ. In addition to being a program director I was also a member of the Board of Directors for the camp during this time period.

Children's Ministry Coordinator

Sharptown Methodist Church
06.2013 - 01.2019
  • Partnered with Children's ministry staff members to run a vibrant growing Children's Program for two church campuses. Primary mission is leading children into a dynamic relationship with Christ! Other responsibilities include establishing scope & sequence of curriculum for educational programs, planning and coordinating VBS and Wednesday night “God Squad” program, planned and executed events that brought families and communities together. Especially blessed to mentor and minister to children, youth and parents in their relationship with Christ and relationships with each other. Worked side by side with the pastoral staff to develop strategies and programs for the growth and development of the church as a whole.
