I recently obtained the CA state SLPA license. I graduated from Pasadena City College with an Associates in Science Degree in Speech and Language Pathology Assistant. I look forward to entering this career field by combining my educational experience with my professional experience.

.Worked with students focusing on their current goals.
.Created fun lesson plans and activities tailored to the individual needs of the clients to help them with language and articulation goals.

Consult about the needs and goals of individual students with the supervising SLP.
· Lead the classroom and make sure that all the children and families’ needs are met.
· Supervise teachers in a two-year-old program, by mentoring, supporting and managing their performance.
· Attend administrative meetings to maintain the center and to come up with ideas to improve the program.
· Put together staff meeting agendas and share them with directors to keep them informed on classroom happenings.
· Attend and prepare all parent conferences for children under care and keep parents informed and provided with appropriate information when needed.
· Observe and document children’s development and support families in receiving the support that is needed for children with special rights, as well as working with teachers and the administrative team on how to best support these children.
· Design educational programs aim at nurturing developmental needs tailored to each individual child, inclusive of physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs.
· Implement programs to encourage development needs based on each individual child.
· Develop a curriculum to highlight the child’s interest to encourage learning through emergent learning philosophy.
· Facilitate various activities to highlight learning through language, art, music, movement, science, etc.
· Conduct semi-annual parent/teacher conferences to share individual child’s progress for growth and milestones compared to peers.
· Promote an environment that fosters cultural diversity among the children and parents.
· Write updates for each individual child’s daily highlights to share with parents at the end of the day.
