Extracurricular Activities

Basketball Team, Discipline and commitment has been a major part of my life to a great extent due to basketball. I played four years at Glendale High School, Girls Varsity Basketball Program. Four years of playing basketball has taught me leadership and active teamwork with the people I work with to get to a consensus goal. I furthered my career in basketball and education at Glendale Community College for two years., June 2016, June 2020 Track and Field, Track is also a great admiration to me, I spent three years running for Glendale High School. I learned to manage my time and to be patient. I trained with different people and became more social and prone to wanting to gain more knowledge., April 2017, July 2019 Coaching Children (Ararat Homenetmen) Basketball, Over the courses of my practices, I volunteered and worked with 6-12 kids. Ages 6 and older. During practice, we worked toward developing the children's skills and agility. Providing simple lessons they can use in everyday lifestyles, such as healthy eating habits and constant physical activities. We prepared for games every week and enjoyed working as a team., March 2021, May 2021 Activist Group (UYA) The United Youth Of Armenians, An independent Armenian organization that is managed by a group of leaders in the Los Angeles Armenian community that wants to see change to recognize the Armenian Genocide. The meetings occur once a month and are for the Armenian Genocide to plan a large LA Protest. My coordinating group controlled the time and setting of the march. We also guided the people throughout the march with certain chants and stayed within the streets to ensure safety. Passing out water and being responsible for hundreds of people., April 2018, 2022 Secretary For Class- Associated Study Body, A club/class that is in charge of events, activities, and highlights of making high school memorable for the students. I was nominated and elected Secretary for my class. My responsibilities were to type meeting notes for the Student Council and Associated Study Body meetings and activities., August 2019, June 2020
