at j fletcher creamer & son inc. my job description was labor but also learning the hole procces on how optic fiber is put in the ground . i worked in the trenching crew but also worked in the sealer crew and i also worked in the fiber crew .

• trenching i always helped put the conduet and the 7mill in to the ground with always in mind to keep the trech clean so the coduet can sit properly. also work on drop boxes and setting the send at the corect meserment and so finish it off with concreting the trench to the corect hight.
• sealing is a prosess after the concret is dry from the trenching you go head and clean the trench with a brum and a blower so you can put the tape down once you put the tape down ur ready for the sealer to be apply on the trench .you run the sealer down the trench covering and miss holes that where miss by the concret . then you aply dry send and repeat the same prosses . make sure u also remove the tape don let it sit to long ore it will stick and come up with the sealer.
• installing fiber is all about having a good comunication. testing the ducks before sending the fiber making sure that air is running corectly. first mesure ur run see how much fotage you would send . once you have your number make sure all the by pasess don on the manhols are conected correcly .then send sponges to make sure it get from point a to point be where the tip of the fiber should come out . once everything runs good with the test run send the fiber . always have a plan b incase the cable gets stuck so you can figure 8 .once the fiber comes out on the other side look at ur plan and read how much each box ore manhole will resive extra fiber cable .
