Anika Stewart

As a Freshman at the University of Colorado Denver, I am pursuing studies in International Business. My constant drive is to surpass my previous self, striving for continuous improvement. Currently, I am actively seeking a summer internship that will provide valuable insights into the operations of a multinational corporation. I eagerly anticipate broadening my horizons and deepening my understanding through hands-on experiences in alignment with my business degree.

Community Leadership Experience:

• Co-orchestrated a high-impact demonstration advocating for abortion rights in East Long Beach, mobilizing over 100 students during my Junior year of high school in 2021. The rally gained significant attention and was covered by LB Post.
• Spearheaded a district-wide walkout in June 2022 within the Long Beach Unified School District, rallying against gun violence. Over 10,000 students from ten schools joined in solidarity, resulting in national recognition for our initiative
• Designed a sticker fundraiser to support a friend battling a congenital heart mutation in January 2022. Through the sale of these stickers, we raised over $1,500 to assist her. Concurrently, co-organized a successful fundraiser utilizing COTA to procure funds for her heart transplant and medical needs, raising an impressive $80,295
• Played a pivotal role in re-chartering the Female Leadership Academy within the Long Beach School District during my Junior year of high school. Actively contributed to planning, presenting, and organizing weekly sessions, empowering over 70 high school girls with essential skills such as public speaking, job interview techniques, and confidence-building.
