· Provided patient care in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, Behavioral Medicine, and Cardiology with an emphasis on health education and ongoing health maintenance.

· Took and presented patient histories to attending physicians.

· Performed physical examinations, monitored vitals, learned basic bedside procedures (e.g., IV placement and paracentesis).

· Worked alongside attending physicians and residents, gaining invaluable decision-making experience with regards to differential diagnoses and the ordering of appropriate diagnostics.

· Provided support to resident psychiatrists in their morning rounds via patient assessment and gathering information and performed pre-examinations in the psychiatric outpatient clinic for patients requiring drug treatment management.

· Worked closely with various ongoing treatment groups, including those for post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.

· Instructed and trained other research volunteers on how to proceed with and manage interviewing patients and gathering data for various research projects.
