I did one year of college and had to transfer to community college.
My education at South Puget Sound Community College has provided me with valuable experience by developing both technical knowledge and practical skills. Through the Associate in Business Direct Transfer Agreement program, I have learned to analyze and evaluate alternatives to accomplish organizational objectives, communicate information in written and oral forms, and collect and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to support business decisions.
The program has also given me experience in recognizing ethical dilemmas, collaborating with people from different cultural backgrounds, and understanding the social, political, economic, legal, and global contexts of business. Courses such as Business Law, Business Calculus, Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Principles of Accounting( 0,1,2,3) have strengthened my analytical and problem-solving abilities.
In addition, completing English composition courses, humanities courses, laboratory science courses, and world language studies has improved my communication, information literacy, multicultural awareness, and social responsibility. The college-wide abilities embedded throughout the program have prepared me to work effectively in professional environments.
Although this experience comes from an academic setting rather than full-time employment, it demonstrates my ability to learn complex concepts, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, work with others, and apply business principles to real-world situations. Therefore, my education is a meaningful form of experience that has prepared me for future career opportunities.
