Work History

Co-President

UCSB Formula SAE Electric
Santa Barbara, Califor
09.2021 - Current
  • (2023-Present) Coordinate design, integration, and testing of chassis, powertrain, and suspension design subsystems into a rules-compliant and competition-ready vehicle for the Formula SAE competition (50+ members)
  • (2025- Present) Designed a compound planetary gearbox for hub motor integration
  • (2022 - Present) Manage the suspension team whose responsibility is to design, manufacture, assemble, and test suspension, steering, and braking systems
  • (2022 - 2024) Designed, manufactured, and tested a full suspension and hub system
  • (2021 - 2023) Conducted simulations and modeling using OptimumK and Lotus Shark to analyze and predict vehicle behavior under various driving conditions, optimizing suspension geometry, weight distribution, and aerodynamics.

Undergraduate Researcher

UCSB Biochemistry Department
Santa Barbara, CA
08.2024 - Current
  • Work with Professor Faye Walker on writing testing protocols for a spectrofluorophotometer along with replicating findings of TAC polymerase behaviour

Undergraduate Researcher (Received $3000 Grant)

UCSB Undergraduate Research and Creative Activitie
Sanat Barbara, CA
11.2023 - Current
  • Managed 2 5-person undergraduate research teams.
  • Developed and tested tools for evaluating the strength of carbon fiber A-arms with UCSB Staff Engineer Kirk Fields, to transition from steel to carbon fiber for 2025.
  • Developed a quarter-car model of a car with UCSB Professor Glenn Beltz, characterizing tire motion using matrix-based controls. Presented at UCSB URCA Fair.

Design Intern

Sensata GigaFuse Team
Santa Barbara, CA
06.2023 - 09.2023
  • Worked with the High voltage testing team, utilizing Arduino circuits and high-speed cameras, to characterize the behaviour of high current inside of a GigfaFuse
  • Collaborated with Ford on the F150 lighting to integrate the GigaFuse, a high-voltage fuse, for use in their battery packs.
  • Designed testing fixtures for various laser welders to ensure high manufacturing precision as product manufacturing scaled up
