I have over 15 years of deep and diverse clinical experience in nutrition and dietetics, complemented by strong academic and professional credentials, enriched through my involvement in multiple extracurricular and voluntary opportunities. My experience of working in leading health systems both in the US and in India, coupled with individual as well as team management responsibilities have given me a strong work ethic and good team skills. I am passionate about and dedicated to my profession and constantly looking for ways to enhance my learning and keep up with advances in the field. I have been actively involved in volunteer opportunities with the NJAND and CDR, including precepting dietetic interns from various Dietetic Internship Programs as well as Pharmacy residents enrolled in Atlantic Health PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program established in 2020.

  • Specific job responsibilities include: Planning enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy for SICU and MICU patients and co-ordinate implementation of nutrition recommendations with nursing, medical residents, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Interpreting, evaluating, monitoring, and documenting nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines
  • Conducting Nutrition Focused Physical Exams to determine nutritional status of patients and provide supportive data to identify and diagnose patients with, or at risk of malnutrition

Volunteer Experience

  • Continue to volunteer with Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) currently hold the position of the Chair of Exam Panel -RD/DTR for the 2023-2024 term
  • ASPEN Self-Assessment Committee member for 2019-2020 and responsible for updating and advancing 2-4 modules annually through reviewing, editing, and development of new questions
  • New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Award’s Chair (2019-Present) and Nominating Committee Representative for Region 3 for a two-year term (2018-2020)
  • Volunteer member of the NJAND Social Media Committee from 2018-2020. Responsibilities included scheduling and posting monthly Nutrition related media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Provided nutrition education sessions to pre-K and elementary school children on Healthy Eating for the past several years.
