- Greet Patients and verify proper name and DOB, than check them in for their scan.
- Call Patients name and verify Patients name and DOB, and take them back to the Prep Area for their scan.
- Change Patients to the proper clothing according to MRI or CT scan guidelines.
- Go over MRI or CT screening forms with Patients.
- Find out if Patients have an allergy to contrast, and find out if they pre medicated correctly.
- Find out if they are claustrophobic and if they are taking medication.
- Start IV and draw labs if ordered. Run a creatinine per protocol.
- Document IV and oral contrast in computer.
- Answer phone call, either take a message or direct them to the proper area.
- Clean rooms inbetween Patients.
- Order supplies and stock supplies.
- Look up MRI and CT's schedules to make sure Patients arrival times and scan times are correct, and look for allergies.
- Call patients who have a contrast allergy and make sure they took their pre medications at the proper times.
- Write up the board with the next day Patients for MRI and CT.
- Make sure we are stocked and ready to go for the next day with supplies and clothing.
- Patient with a contrast allergy is brought back to the Prep Area after scan to be observed for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, if no reaction we take out IV and walk Patient out.
- I burn CD's for Patients, Doctors office and Lawyers offices when requested.
- I send medical records to Doctors offices and Lawyers offices when requested
