Project Name: ULTA S4 Transformation
Client: Ulta Salon, Cosmetics
Responsibility 1 (Plan and Analyze new business requirements)
- Leading requirement gathering workshops with key stakeholders from business, third party vendors and Accenture team members to gather the business requirement and understand the current business processes.
- Perform high level investigation of current capabilities (AS-IS) and analysis of potential value levelers for enhancement. Assess a client’s current capabilities and determine their expectations for capability improvement, guiding their thinking and investment options to get them from their baseline capability to better, or best in class. Leverage pre-defined processes and flows as baseline to define aspirational ‘TO-BE’ practice.
- Prepare mega processes (Level 0) and break them to major processes, processes, sub-processes etc. right up to the activities level (Level 5). Review with key stakeholders the processes decomposed at logical level including high level process, end to end flow, activity level details.
- Prepare deck and process flows describing the end-to-end function level flow for existing capability and proposed capability.
- Walk-through the requirement deck with the key stakeholders to confirm the requirement.
Responsibility 2 (Design and Solutioning)
- Design leading procurement, logistics and inventory management functionalities by leveraging the Global Retail Industry best practices.
- Provide end-to-end view to business users linking business process with technical solutions and transactions.
- Co-ordinate cross team key activities for seamless process execution – master data, supply chain, inventory management, financial accounting.
- Prepare list of objects by identifying new, modify and test objects for the proposed solutions clearly defining the scope of each object.
- Prepare cost and effort estimator for each solution proposed which specifies the total cost and effort estimation for the business requirement.
- Walkthrough business requirement deck to the solution architects from Accenture and client in design control board for solution review and approval.
- Present business requirement deck in the change control board to the client leads for the final cost approval.
Responsibility 3 (Development and Implementation – End to End delivery)
- Prepare business process documentation, configuration documents with the business requirement which includes illustrating AS-IS and TO-BE processes explaining current state in legacy system and future state.
- Prepare functional design and functional design mapping documents for various objects for report, interfaces, conversion, enhancements, forms.
- Lead review sessions with key business users and get the final sign off for business process documents, configuration documents, functional design documents and functional design mapping documents.
- Work with technical teams - ABAP and middleware to get the system build as per the business requirement.
- Perform functional review for the design built to validate system is working as per business requirements.
- Present project implementation status and highlight key issues in daily Accenture and Client leadership meeting.
- Responsible for controlling, monitoring, and tracking all deliverables during various phases of implementation by sequencing activities, identifying interdependencies of activities, and defining schedule as per overall project timeline.
Responsibility 4 (Documentation, Training, Transition, and Quality)
- Responsible for providing inputs to QA and performance test teams to design test plans and test cases for product integration test, regression test, performance test for project release.
- Responsible for co-ordination between various teams like Accenture internal team, third party systems, middleware for QA issues and bug fixes.
Responsibility 5 (Cutover activities, Go-live and Support)
- Responsible for planning and finalizing the blackout period to freeze business operations wherein no business transactions should take place. Organize meetings to effectively communicate business users to halt any business transactions for the blackout period.
- Plan and execute activities as part of cutover plan.
- Responsible for regular monitoring of the jobs and processes in production proactively to identify any defects and issues.
- Responsible for fixing or co-ordinate fix of production support during warranty period by performing root cause analysis for production issues during warranty period.
