  • Worked as part of SAP Implementation Project Directory and SAP Support and directly reported to CEO providing him all technical inputs required for his daily engagements.
  • Key member - Steering Committee to completely handle ERP Implementation project by co-ordinating between User departments and Functional consultants starting from Implementation to after Go-live Support.
  • Core team member for Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) Modules.
  • Single point of Contact between my company and Implementation Partner for Full time support (Co-ordinate and control number of tickets raised, ensure timely solution is provided for important system issues).
  • Explain to consulting team requirements for new reports, changes in configuration to suit our changing business needs.
  • Organise and conduct Training sessions/refresher training sessions for all users on regular basis.
  • Worked on creating personalised Dashboards for all Functional Heads to get their reports directly from SAP on daily basis.
  • Defining KRAs-KPIs – Strategic Business Planning
    I was made part of CEO’s core team that analysed this plan and broke it down to plant wise, department wise, function wise KRAs and KPIs.
    My main functions in this project were:
     Collect, update and display all Plant KPIs across various locations in plant.
     Update and share all Function wise KPIs with Core team
     Organise and conduct Monthly reviews to discuss performance, catch up plans and future
    projects
     Maintain CEO’s KPIs dashboard – Formulated this as Company score card.
  • This resulted in employees at different levels of organization being thorough with their KPIs and were able to align their work in right direction to achieve individual as well as team level goals.
  • Visual Management Project
    ArcelorMittal (Global) has set of specific standards for management of Visual displays, signage within Plant premises – office and shopfloor. As part of World Class Management activities was given the opportunity to learn from an expert in Netherlands, these standards and to enforce these in our plant after analysing our own needs.
    This project was carried out under my leadership and the main activities were,
     Decide content, location of display, type of display, product to be used and selection of vendor for product supply and install products at desired locations.
     Installation of KRA-KPIs boards, station-wise Production status boards, ArcelorMittal Global vinyl wallpapers, AMDHAMM values on Acrylic Sandwich boards.
  • Newly installed visual displays not only attracted customers, suppliers and employees alike but also made sure our unit on the whole follows our Global standards and procedures.
  • Standardisation of Processes
    standardising existing processes and implementing standard processes wherever required - review with respective teams two processes every month and standardise and modify Standard Operating Procedures written for the function.
     Written and implemented SOPs for Sales Order Processing in SAP, Excise Maintenance in dealer purchases, Purchase process, Opening of sealed bids and Weigh bridge activities.
  • Graduate Engineer Trainee Projects
    As a fresher training was given in Welding Engineering, Plant layout modelling, Time analysis on machines, 5S Implementation in small areas and Production Planning and Control.
    After sufficient training in PPC, I was chosen from amongst all executives working in the company, to attend an International Training on ERP systems conducted at Villefranche, France by ArcelorMittal Total Offer Processing.
  • NON-TECHNICAL PROJECTS
    CEO Engagement Activity
    As a mass engagement programme, the CEO met and interacted with 20 employees from different functions across the plant on a weekly basis. Assisted him to organise and conduct these weekly meetings.
     Prepare and display the content for these meetings – Company’s weekly results
     Discuss and resolve employee grievances raised during these meetings.
  • Role as Continuous Improvement Committee Chairman
    In order to encourage Employees, improvements made by them in their respective areas are identified by their managers and sent to our committee which displayed it in the office. As Chairman of this committee my work included,
     Collecting and displaying all improvements
     Rating the improvements along with a committee and choosing Employee of the month –This is followed by a small interview with the person, excerpts of which are displayed in the plant.
