Community Relations

• Oversee the school's 4-year strategic plan for partnerships and engagement, including planning and implementing a positive public relations program & creating partnerships with local universities, policymakers, feeder schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and neighborhood associations.
• Attend meetings with the community to represent the school.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to plan large-scale events and develop marketing materials (i.e. LSC election, NHS ceremony, vaccine drives, health fairs, etc.).
• Create weekly community newsletter and other marketing materials for various events.

Program Management

• Oversee and manage a 3-year, Out-Of-School time (OST) budget.
• Created and manage school's portfolio of 70+ after-school clubs and tutoring programs, including spearheading a paid work-based learning and mentoring program for students.
• Manage programs and ensure club leaders update student attendance, and submit timesheets.
• Promote OST programs and recruit students, ensuring engagement of priority students.
• Collect and analyze data for programming purposes.
  

• Lead Honeycomb's multi-generational volunteer projects.
• Effectively motivate and manage a team of adult volunteers, support staff and volunteer families.
• Oversee and manage all day-of event logistics including set-up, break down and pick-up/delivery of supplies and donations
• Deliver exceptional events - ensuring a satisfying experience for volunteer families and partner organizations alike.

• Responsible for grant management, tracking all deliverables including inputs/outputs.
• Lead Youth Advisory Council in high school, in which youth are given the tools to research and address issues in their community.
• Teach Youth Prevention Education to over 40 middle school students.
• Promote Illinois Youth Survey to 25 schools. Create an environmental scan of the service area and create a comprehensive resource guide.
• Responsible for a monthly communication campaign which reaches over 1800 high school youth.

• Assess the employment and workforce development needs of low-income out of school youth, residing in Cook County to determine suitability and eligibility for WIOA contract.
• Manage a caseload of 40 clients, and evaluate each individual’s goals to assist with employment or career planning according to resources and funding.
• Manage and maintain monthly contact with customers offering supportive services and monitoring retention.
• Generate training opportunities such as referring clients to workshops, job leads and other needed resources.

• Created curriculum and planned course content and methods of instruction.
• Prepared students for tests by teaching relevant concepts and enforcing good test-taking skills.
• Provided individual mentoring and special tutoring to struggling students.
• Used positive reinforcement and provided clear feedback to help students succeed.
