• Provide complex care for cardiac, neurological, and EMU patients
• Address unit staff concerns, including staffing ratios, resource management, allocation of responsibilities and optimized workload management
• Fulfill responsibilities of Charge Nurse with floor, float, and flex staff nurses
• Administer medications, titrate cardiac medication, track dosages and document patient conditions
• Train and mentor new RNs on best practices, hospital policies and standards of care
• Educate patients, caregivers and families on diagnoses, treatment options and self-management to maintain continuity of care
• Monitor and educate nursing students and externs on proper care procedures and prioritization strategies
