Ann Iverson

I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach kindergarten, first grade, second grade and even virtual second grade throughout my teaching career so far. I love working with young kids and my true passion is encouraging the smallest of children to believe in themselves. I enjoy creating a warm, caring and safe environment where everyone is welcome and valued each day. I believe in meeting each child where they are at and encouraging them to do their best academically, socially and emotionally every day. I understand that this can be a difficult task for children, however, I feel that by building personal relationships, teaching with empathy and compassion and challenging them academically, I can bring out their very best skills and successes throughout the year.

I feel that it is very important to work as a team with my colleagues as well. I have always enjoyed sharing ideas, curriculum, supplies, and teaching strategies with my teammates. I've been very fortunate to work with so many wonderful teachers who have also become some of my closest friends over the years.
