● Plan, implement, monitor therapy for a wide variety of communication and swallowing disorders caused by strokes, postoperative neurocognitive disorders, post-acute COVID-19 syndrome, etc.

● Certified in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and MBSImP.

● Educate family and caregivers of patients with cognitive and swallowing needs.

● Treat swallowing deficits through P.O. trials and compensatory strategies.

● Conduct voice therapy by encouraging healthy vocal hygiene and behaviors to shape healthy vocal quality for patients with hoarseness and limited facial movement.

● Administer assessments including the Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation, Cognitive-Linguistic Quick Test (CLQT), Saint Louis University Mental Status exam (SLUMS), Western Aphasia Battery (WAB) and bedside swallow evaluations using P.O. trials.

● Prepare and execute articulation therapy for children and adults.

● Interprofessional collaboration about patient care including occupational therapist, physical therapist, dietician, doctor, and nurse.

● Provided speech therapy services within the school system for students ninth - twelfth grade and the self-contained classrooms.

● Provided skilled therapy utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices for nonverbal children with developmental delays such as Autism and Down Syndrome.

● Provided skilled therapy for children with developmental and language delays targeting expressive and receptive language.

● Provided skilled therapy for children with speech sound disorders.
