Dynamic and dedicated Teacher's Assistant with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, honed at John G. Conyers Learning Academy. Successfully fostered home-school partnerships and improved student comprehension through innovative teaching methods. Committed to student health and safety while providing individualized support, ensuring a nurturing learning environment. I believe that being a stay at home mom for my three children for 20 years has helped me in my ability to teach and understand young students. I have always tried to treat the students the same way I would want my kids to be treated. In my previous two jobs, I did deal with children with disabilities, and I also worked with them at Conyers school. I always try to have all the kids work together whenever possible. I am very patient, and understanding even when things can get stressful. Working with all these young kids has always been a lifelong dream of mine. I love working together with the teachers to have a common goal/plan for the kids every day.
I helped the teacher with weekly planning. Set up the room for daily activities, and helped teach the students with a number recognition, and how to spell their names. I would help with teaching the students their colors, and drawing different things and objects. I would help oversee the kids while they were in playtime and they would play well together with our supervision and leadership.
I was a floater, and would go between the infant area to the kindergarten area. I would change diapers, and would hold the infants. I would play with the infants, and also get them to nap. I am in the process of getting my paraprofessional certificate, and right now I have my short term certificate through 2027.
