- Follow all state regulations related to childcare centers including licensing laws and health requirements.
- Create a warm atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves while learning new skills.
- Model good social behaviors for toddlers such as sharing toys or taking turns talking during circle time.
- Plan activities that are appropriate for the age group, such as arts and crafts, reading stories, singing songs, playing games, and outdoor play.
- Administer first aid when necessary in case of minor injuries or illnesses.
- Help children develop motor skills through physical activities such as crawling, walking, climbing stairs.
- Teach basic manners such as saying please and thank you.
- Engage with parents about their child's development and address any concerns they have regarding their child’s care.
- Keep classroom areas clean and organized throughout the day.
- Change diapers and assist with potty training of toddlers.
- Ensure safety at all times by monitoring activities closely, implementing safety rules, and responding quickly to any potential hazards.
