Anna Marburger

I started at Eden teaching 5th and 6th grade History and Bible classes in my first year. I was promoted to Principal in my second year and currently serve in that role. I mentor newly hired educators and provided encouragement and feedback and monitored student behavior and enforced discipline policies. One of my favorite parts of the job is cultivating partnerships with community organizations to provide additional resources and support for students and staff in need. I also carried out directives from my head of school involving policy and academic changes during my time in administration.

• Over my first two years at MACS, I lead a third grade classroom for twelve weeks for a teacher who was on medical leave, I was lead teacher of a first grade classroom for a five month maternity leave and I assisted instruction in two second grade classrooms to pull small groups of students for interventions. When I returned to Manchester, I was teaching 4th and 5th grade social studies and science while also running the STEAM lab. During the pandemic, I was instructing learning support students as they were navigating virtual learning.

• I served eighteen students, built positive relationships with parents to involve families in educational process, facilitated grade-level meetings, and ran day to day operations of my classroom.

• In my first summer out of college, I coordinated day to day operations of the elementary camp, lead staff meetings, coordinated parent communication, and carried out instruction from my director.
