Responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, building meaningful relationships with CEOs, conducting due diligence on potential investments, and assisting our portfolio companies across strategic initiatives.
- Develop strategic outreach campaigns to CEOs across cold emails, cold calls, and LinkedIn. 90% email open rate and 40% reply rate, resulting in 542 total calls, ~10% of which were worth further internal discussions.
- Successfully engaged senior colleagues in 212 meetings to-date, 12% of which classified as "A-Quality" (i.e., highest priority), and 81% classified as "B-Quality" (i.e., interesting, nothing actionable today).
- Sourced consumer-facing education technology company, fostering 9-month relationship with Founder-CEO. Led due diligence efforts and collaborated with Associate, VP, and Partner to submit a term sheet. Although we withdrew from process due to valuation expectations, we have maintained positive, ongoing relationship.
- Led M&A prospecting initiatives for a portfolio company, identifying 55 viable acquisition targets. Successfully conducted meetings with 28 of these prospects, ultimately pinpointing 11 leads that aligned with M&A criteria. Presented findings directly to the CEO and CPO, garnering enthusiastic reception.
- Co-sourced Women's Health Tech company and, to further validate our thesis, created consumer survey, yielding nearly 2K responses, and conducted in-depth analysis to inform product strategy, NPS benchmarking, TAM estimation, and go-to-market planning. Presented findings to co-founders, receiving enthusiastic recognition for delivering actionable insights that far surpassed expectations.
- Leverage financial modeling, customer cohort analysis, sales pipeline efficiency analysis, as well as customer reference calls and qualitative market research to evaluate the viability of potential investments.
