I am a sophomore at ACU, and declared as a Marketing major.
At the beginning of this year I became a TA for upper level marketing classes with Jennifer Golden. I have been able to collaborate with other professors in COBA and build those relationship, learned be organize with school work, learn to balance school, a social life, and work, and learn how to build course material and grade. Being a TA I had to quickly learn to communicate with other students and be flexible for them, and grew as a student while being mentored for an amazing professor.
I have babysat kids for years and through this I have learned how to coordinate schedules, balance multiple tasks at one time, and communicate efficiency with adults and children.
During this accounting internship, I conducted research on other accounting firms in the area, collaborated with accounts throughout the business, and data logged for all of their clients, and organized multiple parts of the office. Through this internship I learned to be organized, reach out of my comfort, communicate with a boss and peers around me, and take on new challenges.
During this time, I was able to volunteer at my church at home in kids ministry. I taught and loved on second graders, and was able to build relationships with sweet kids. I also learned to communicate with parents, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
