08.2021 - 08.2022
I was team lead in sole charge of running the day in and day out duties for Aledo ISD, DNGC (Ninth grade campus) in their content mastery room
I oversee the room, working with any students that may need extra help with assignments, quiet place to work, a friendly smile and or encouraging word, a safe place to regroup, or an alternate testing area for not only special needs / special education students, but any student that asks
I work directly with all staff members to keep them up to date on how the students are doing, what might be a need, and getting all completed work to their assigned teacher in a timely manner
I run grade reports weekly for all students that are special education, go through the reports, note all areas on the report that might be an area to improve, give those reports either to the student directly, or to their classroom teacher to be handed out within the week, and then I email parents keeping them abreast of the grade reports as well
I pride myself on working very well with others, being a team player, helping out for the greater good
I also fill in as a substitute as needed and run any other classroom as though their teacher was not absent
I am flexible and can change gears to prioritize needs as they come about
I love the students deeply and truly want each of them to know that they are of the utmost importance to me
I care for not simply how they are doing scholastically, but how they are doing overall
I pride myself on having an optimistic outlook, which I try to pass along to those around me
