I like this lab very much , enjoy my coworkers, and will not be looking elsewhere for employment.I Feel I have a strong work ethic and almost never call out sick . I have been thanked or being flexible with my work schedule many times.

  • Working 40 hrs/wk in Microbiology 2nd shift and sometimes 3rd shift. Run STAT tests, read gram stains ,blood cultures ,logging in specimens and running COVID tests on Cepheid. Make sure all specimens received on pending log and all results entered at end of night.
  • Also, do daily and monthly QC.
  • Staying organized and delivering results quickly nd accurately.

  • Ran Olympus 5400,Centaur, Hepatitis tests. PSA,Chem panels
  • STAT tests. Some serology such as RPR's, HCGs and thyroid panels when I was in Autochem. Ran thousands with coworkers / night. Before Autochem I worked in Microbiology plating all specimens and running urinalysis with sediments and serologies
  • Such as ANA's and RPR's. Helped to write some SOP's with supervisor. Did troubleshooting on machinery as needed and did QC and maintenance on all machinery.

  • This was also part of what I did before entering the Lab which became Quest Diagnostics. Going to people's houses , state prisons and mental hospitals. Also worked in the Army as Lab tech one weekend per month from 1984- 1993 and obtained title of Seargeant when released.
