With nine years of pointe expertise and a passion for contemporary dance, I've thrived in roles such as the Evil Queen with Central Ballet Theatre and in the Snow Corps De Ballet for Chattanooga Ballet's The Nutcracker. My dedication to improvement and love for dance were ignited further at Ballet Magnificat!'s summer intensive, sparking my passion for dance education and performance excellence.
As a senior company member at Central Ballet Theatre, I have had the pleasure of dancing what are now two of my favorite roles. In this year's performance, I will be dancing the role of the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. In addition to this role, I have danced the part of the Enchantress in Beauty and the Beast. Being a senior company member has provided me with challenging but good classes, and the pleasure of getting to dance my two favorite roles.
This year, I have had the pleasure of taking part in a Chattanooga Ballet production of The Nutcracker. I will be dancing the Waltz of the Snowflakes alongside some of Chattanooga Ballet's best artists. The performance is directed by Brian McSween, who is an amazing artistic director. I have benefited greatly from the experience of dancing with a professional company, and I cannot wait to see my improvement through the hours of learning more and more about the art that I love so much.
Two summers ago, I was able to spend two weeks at Ballet Magnificat's summer intensive. The intensive was hosted by Belhaven University, and it was during my time spent there that my desire to dance in college was born. The intensive ended with a big performance where my level and I danced two pieces choreographed by Ballet Magnificat's company members and educators.
