I was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Shanghai, China. Educated for over nine years in an international environment, I am well adapted to cross-cultural communication and gained valuable experience in a diverse and dynamic academic setting.
I am a junior student at School of Visual Arts, department of illustrations. My career direction is children's books and all-age picture books, as well as editorial illustrations. I'm also interested in Peripheral design and Visual Communication Design.
As an artist, I believe my art should create intimacy, beauty, and joy to my viewers. Flowers, fruits, and leaves are recurring elements in my works. Color imagery is important to me in creating art.
Employed for 35 hours per week, Work includes completing graphic design work on online book publication such as banners and book covers. Examine audio book recordings and submit forms of report. Also assisted in preparing postcards for book fair event.
Completed 226 hours of volunteering work from 2011 to 2018.
Participated in weekend and field trip services including beach clean up, elder care, health care for cerebral palsy children, fedex migrate children reading club, and charity events.
