Annabelle Mugno

Instructor for Junior Lifeguard program with Town of Southampton, a program for children ages 9-15, with various subgroups for different ages. Program aims to teach about water safety, water reduces, and lessons through the lifeguarding job. Working with the children is rewarding, as some come in with little knowledge about swimming or the ocean, and it is our job to get them comfortable and make sure they have fun.

I work in two different groups, the youngest group which is 9-10 year olds, and the oldest which is 13-15. Being able to teach these children and give back is important, and teaches lessons to the instructors as well.

Instructor for Ocean Lifeguard course, teaching candidates the skills needed to take the test to become certified. Gained valuable skills in leadership, collaboration, and patience.

Summary: Highly skilled and dedicated Ocean Lifeguard with extensive experience in actively monitoring beach environments, performing water rescues, and ensuring patron safety in challenging ocean conditions. Possesses strong observational skills, quick decision-making abilities, and current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
