Experience/Skills gained as a student during the clinical year:

Completed full history and physical examinations on adults and children. Performed laceration repairs, IV line placement, venipuncture, pelvic exams, corticosteroid joint injections, foley catheter placement. Assisted with central line placements. First assisted in numerous bariatrics cases including gastric sleeve and bypass. First and second assisted on orthopedic cases such as arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release surgery, and both hip and knee replacements. Second assisted in cesarean sections and gynecologic cases. Worked on note writing skills for H&Ps, progress notes, and procedure notes.
