To provide accurate and efficient STAT/Routine analysis of arterial, venous, and mixed-venous blood samples and STAT/Routine chemistry test to all critical care and acute care beds. To assure accurate and efficient care and to meet standards outlined by CLIA and the College of American Pathologists.

Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance as required. Assures that Prime Plus Analyzers are functioning, maintained, calibrated and that all required QC has been completed and passed. Identifies problems with operation of instruments and repairs when possible. Documents corrective actions. Contacts and communicates with service representative when necessary.

Trains new respiratory personnel in the blood gas laboratory as needed. Trains other end users to operate instruments and completes ABG competency.
