Upon arrival at the hospital, we are assigned either at St. Mary's 1,265 bed capacity or Methodist Hospital 794 bed capacity. Dispatcher may assign you to start PIV on an infant: one time stick only, on adults: 2 tries only, lidocaine injection prior to PIV placement. Blood products transport and timely infusion of different products to all units from ER to ICU patients, operation of level1 rapid infuser, respond to blood infusion reaction, investigation and reporting. Only IV Team RN or MD to de-clot central lines. Assist during Piccline placement.
