Critical Access Hospital- Travel Assignment

• Provide direct nursing care on a 13-bed unit consisting of med-surg and telemetry patient with various number of diagnoses
• Cross-trained to both ED and wound care clinic.
• 15+ patients seen daily for administering of IV antibiotics, wound care management, and management of central lines including lab draws and dressing changes
• Assist in triaging, providing care for, and discharging patients in the emergency department.
• Collaborated with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.
• Use of RPMS and BCMA systems to document all nursing cares and medication administration.

Level 1 Trauma Unit

• Provide direct nursing care to a variety of med surg and telemetry patients with complex diagnosis through evidence-based interventions and clinically appropriate assessments
• Assist in coordination of interprofessional care with hospital staff, outside facilities, patients, and their families to promote successful transition of care outside of the hospital
• Performing medication administration including IV administration, nursing assessments, wound care and management, and drain care management
• Electronic medical record documentation of all nursing care and medication administration in the EPIC system
• Experience as charge nurse, responsibilities including creating patient assignments, tracking narcotic use, and being a resource on the floor for other nurses.

• Assist multiple patients with ADL's, perform bed baths, record input and output, record blood glucose, assist with ambulation of patients, and assist patients with meals.
