2
years of professional experience

I was a section leader in the Staunton High School marching band for two years. As a section leader I mainly focused on collaboration and making sure that everyone felt included. I would welcome newcomers first and immediately make it known that I cared for them as individuals. If there was bullying I would stand up for the person- and explain to the other parties that bullying wouldn't help the band accomplish it's goal. I believe that group harmony is needed in order to achieve a goal- fighting just gets in the way.
